Front-End Website Developer

Constant Contact is looking for a motivated Front-End Web Developer with excellent JavaScript/jQuery skills to help work on our ever-growing web presence. You'll be collaborating with other front-end developers, designers, and engineers to create a more interactive and engaging experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Writes JavaScript and jQuery to support our interactive website initiatives.
• Works closely with stakeholders and other web team members to develop and contribute to creative web solutions designed to meet measurable goals.
• Translates wireframes into visual designs, build design prototypes using CSS and semantic HTML markup compatible with major browsers.
• Collaborates with the team to create, document and maintain new processes and guides.
• Participates as a part of a design/development team responsible for the day to day design, production, development and maintenance of Constant Contact's corporate and partner website initiatives (both external and internal sites).
• Working with our content management system in creating and maintaining templates and writing and delivering training.
• Discussing technical solutions with the team and providing innovative new ideas to solutions.
• Constantly seeking to develop yourself by learning new technologies and keeping abreast of your markets developments.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

• Ability to create and maintain JavaScript; in-depth knowledge of jQuery and other enhancement libraries.
• Advanced knowledge of Javascript, HTML, XHTML, CSS (HTML5/CSS3 highly desirable).
• Expert knowledge about current web technologies, web standards, browser compatibility issues, usability, best practices and procedures and the web development/production cycle.
• Excellent analytic and communication skills. Attention to detail is very important.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based, collaborative environment and have the ability and flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and be self sufficient, organized and motivated to excel.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve unexpected issues quickly and efficiently.

Requirements:

• BS degree in Computer Science or BA in web design/development or a related field.
• 2-5 years experience in developing interactive websites.

• JSP/Java development, Spring experience
• Object Oriented Programming experience
• Version control systems (SVN, Git) experience
• Agile (Kanban) project management experience
• Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, other design software experience
• Content Management Systems, SEO and/or Akamai experience
