CONSTANT CONTACT REPORTS STRONG FRANCHISE INDUSTRY GROWTH WITH INCREASED DEMAND FOR ONLINE MARKETING

Adoption of email marketing and online surveys among franchise organizations on the rise

Waltham, MA - November 18, 2008

Constant Contact®, Inc. (NasdaqGM: CTCT), a leading provider of email marketing and online surveys for small organizations, today announced that it generated 104-percent year-over-year customer billing growth in its franchise program (as measured between September 2007 and September 2008) and now serves more than 100 individual franchise brands. With a combination of rapid growth in the franchise industry and the need for businesses to find affordable marketing solutions, franchise businesses make up a growing portion of Constant Contact's overall customer base. The Company has been particularly successful in adding child, senior care, pet and home services industry franchisors.

"In this challenging economic climate, franchise businesses are fast recognizing the benefits of affordable, effective email marketing solutions," said Kevin O'Brien, director of franchise development for Constant Contact, Inc. "We're seeing tremendous interest in Constant Contact's email marketing as well as our online survey solutions. Franchise users understand the value of a two-way dialogue both within the franchise family and with their customers. Our tools allow them to communicate more effectively while supporting their continued growth."

Franchise organizations are drawn to Constant Contact as a means to maintain brand consistency across their franchise locations while providing them with a proven tool to help market directly to their customers. As an additional service, Constant Contact works with franchisors to design custom templates for newsletters, promotions and other types of communications, which they can then share with their franchisees. Franchisors are able to pre-load approved content in a template which ensures a consistent message and helps franchisors get up and running quickly. Individual franchise owners can then easily send out professional, branded email campaigns to local customers that are customized with their specific information, promotions, or local opportunities.

Among the many franchise customers Constant Contact added this year, Bark Busters Home Dog Training is the largest dog training company in the world. It has more than 250 franchisees in the United States and more than 400 in 10 countries around the globe. The company recently selected Constant Contact's SpeakUp! Email Marketing and is making it available to its individual franchisees for their local marketing efforts.

"As providers of a professional service, it is extremely important that our franchisees establish good relationships and strong credibility with their customers. We need to stay in front of our customers and let them know that we are the experts in dog training," said Kristy Bell, Bark Buster's director of marketing and communications. "That's why Bark Busters provides email marketing from Constant Contact to its franchise owners. With Constant Contact, we can create a newsletter that offers educational and entertaining information in a professional way and our franchisees can customize it to make it their own."
