CONSTANT CONTACT MAKES EMAIL MARKETING AND ONLINE SURVEYS EASIER AND MORE EFFECTIVE WITH RECENT PRODUCT ENHANCEMENTS
New Features and Tools Improve Quality of Customer Communications for Small Businesses

Constant Contact®, Inc. (NasdaqGM: CTCT), a leading provider of email marketing and online surveys for small organizations, today announced it has added several new features and enhancements to the company's award-winning online marketing tools. The latest versions of Constant Contact's email marketing and online survey tools provide significant customization and automation opportunities for small businesses' marketing activities.
"We solicit feedback from our customers on a regular basis and many of the enhancements we are announcing today came directly from the input of our community of more than 280,000 customers," said Ellen Brezniak, senior vice president, product strategy, Constant Contact. "With these upgrades, we focused on responding to our customers' requests and adding significant power to our tools without sacrificing our industry-leading ease of use."
Email Marketing
Improvements to Constant Contact's email marketing tool make it even easier for small businesses to stay in touch with their customers. The new features include:
- Enhanced email autoresponder: Constant Contact's autoresponder allows a customer to automatically send relevant, engaging, welcoming, and timely emails to new customers who join an email list. The feature can be used to schedule and send up to five messages to these customers at pre-determined times. The autoresponder feature was added to help small businesses build stronger customer relationships and nurture new relationships without requiring the business to do extra work.
- View as a Webpage: A View as a Webpage link has been added to emails so that a recipient can immediately access a fully formatted version of Constant Contact communications regardless of the settings of their email inbox or which email program the recipient uses.
- More than 400 customizable templates: The number of easy-to-edit email marketing templates that help small organizations quickly create impactful email newsletters and promotional messages has been increased to more than 400. New templates include several industry specific, special-occasion, and holiday themed versions.
Online Surveys
Constant Contact has also added a number of improvements to its online survey tool that improve the look and feel of the survey interface and enhance the manageability of survey data. These include:
- Poll Link: This feature allows customers to easily get feedback to a question by embedding a one-question survey or poll onto their websites, into their email, or on social networking sites.
- Share results: Organizations now have the option of permitting survey respondents to see current results of a survey once their responses have been submitted.
- 20 new survey templates: New customized survey templates for restaurants, retail, travel, and employee satisfaction surveys bring the number of available survey templates to more than 40.
- Automatic customization: This feature helps organizations to pre-load a logo to a survey greeting and closing page to speed the time it takes to prepare a survey for distribution.
- Enhanced Excel support: Users can now more easily export survey data to Microsoft® Excel® for increased data manipulation and graphing.
- Enhanced survey invitation template: The survey invitation template has been updated with guidelines to teach small organizations best practices for improved survey participation and response rates.
- Simpler Formatting: Survey questions are now easier to format, which enhances survey readability and response accuracy.
ConnectUp! ® User Community
Constant Contact also recently added additional features to ConnectUp!, its online community for customers, prospects, and other small businesses to connect with like-minded peers and potential business partners. Since its debut in 2006, ConnectUp! has increasingly become a destination for small organizations to get ideas, share insights, ask questions, and foster best practices for achieving success in all aspects of growing and managing a business. ConnectUp! now offers access to resources such as a directory listing of business partners, local Constant Contact training resources, and other Constant Contact customers. To date, the ConnectUp! community has more than 21,000 registered members and more than 3,000 posts on 50 separate topics. The ConnectUp! Business Directory currently offers visitors the opportunity to access information for and connect with more than 250 business partners.
Expanded Stock Image Library
Additionally, Constant Contact added a stock image gallery with more than 3,400 high-quality, royalty-free images for customers to use in their email communications or online surveys.
